We are looking for a talented GPL Transportation Analyst Senior to join our team specializing in Logistics for our Corporate/CBS Segment in Florence, KY facility.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Develop and provide logistics analytics and make recommendations to achieve profitability, customer service, and/or inventory goals.

  • Develop logistics analytics to make operational performance and trends visible.

  • Lead and participate in six sigma and supply chain improvement projects

  • Use common processes tools, and information systems to enable supply chain analysis.

  • Ensure data integrity of all analytics and reports.

  • Develop reporting capability for supply chain Key Performance Indicators. Analyze and interpret Key Performance Indicators to identify areas for improvement and action plans.

  • Use existing business systems to provide analytics and reporting that are capable and repeatable. Develop basic supply chain models for scenario analysis

  • Conduct internal and external benchmarking analysis.

  • Provide financial analysis as required

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Candidate must have proven analytic skills OR supply chain experience

  • Strong analytical and Microsoft Office skills (excel, powerpoint) are required

  • Warehouse Operations - Utilizes warehousing tools, systems, and methodologies to meet defined metrics for inbound and outbound operations of a warehouse.

  • Trade Knowledge Application - Applies knowledge of relevant trade regulations to Cummins processes and systems to minimize trade risks and costs.

  • Supply Chain Knowledge - Influences, with the ability to concisely explain and/or elaborate on, the multi-disciplined and end-to-end integration of the flow of information, products, and services to achieve the desired result for the end customer within the first-fit or aftermarket business segments while balancing the tensions of inventory, cost, and delivery.

  • Project Management - Establishes and maintains the balance of scope, schedule and resources for a temporary effort (a "project").

  • Optimizes work processes - Knowing the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement.

  • Manages complexity - Making sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.

  • Mode Selection - Evaluates and selects appropriate transportation mode and equipment type by lane through shipment volume analysis against business requirements to provide optimal shipping method (balance cost, quality, and time)

  • College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in applicable field is preferred

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
