Currently, we are recruiting for a Parts Professional for our Service Center in Tallahassee, FL. This position performs a variety of duties in the service center parts department including retrieving part numbers, preparing purchase orders and processing sales.
Possessesdetailed knowledge of retail and parts department operations
Retrievespart numbers from books, microfiche, electronic catalog and other computerizedsystems as necessary.
Preparesand processes purchase orders.
Preparescounter billing (invoices)
Processescredit card sales
Supports and reflects Cumminspractice of being customer led and customer focused.
Completes an individual developmentplan for personal and professional improvement.
Attends classes, seminars and othertraining sessions as required.
Performs additional duties as may beassigned by supervisor.
Skills and Experience Required:
Excellent verbal communication skills and telephone etiquette
Relevant work experience in an automotive / diesel parts department preferred
Working knowledge of diesel engines preferred
Proficient in Windows and other office equipment and software as required
Detail oriented attention to detail and follow through
Pleasant and cooperative attitude with co-workers
Prompt arrival and regular attendance at work.
Able to balance a heavy workload and work with limited supervision.
Must be well organized
Must have good listening skills
Required Education, Licenses or Certifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Applicant must be able to obtain forklift certification Physical Requirements (times are approximate) Standing 7.5 hours per day Pushing/Pulling 4.0 hours per day Sitting 1.5 hours per day Lifting 1.5 hours per day Lifting up to a maximum of 50 pounds Bending 3.0 hours per day Driving 2.5 hours per day Must have the physical ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Protective Glasses, Protective Gloves, Protective Footwear as required.
Compensation and Benefits
Base hourly rate commensurate with experience .
