Warehouse and Inventory Control Associate


Cummins Sales and Service in Sumner, WA is looking for an experienced Warehouse and Inventory Control Associate .

The qualified candidate has safety, customer satisfaction, and business responsibilities within branch operations. The person in this role is responsible for assisting customers with parts sales at the Will Call Counter and general administrative support to include Cycle Counts, Inventory Control, Returns and Customer Care. This is a full time day shift position working M-F.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform daily bin audit procedure

  • Process customer parts, core and warranty returns

  • Support inventory management activity

  • Occasionally support retail sales counter, including parts research, procurement and delivery to customer

  • Support warehouse operations, including: receiving, picking, and shipping counter

  • Coordinate incoming parts receipt with warehouse to assure timely receivables


  • Demonstrated proficiency in researching of parts for customers using resources available

  • Demonstrated computer proficiency and knowledge of Cummins systems

  • Demonstrated ability to positively react to change in environment, processes and people

  • Demonstrated excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to develop positive relationships with external and internal customers and coworkers

  • Knowledge of inventory management systems desirable

  • Displays evidence of identifying and taking ownership of problems encountered and suggested solutions

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 2 years of experience in a parts distribution/inventory management related field

  • Knowledge of Cummins parts system & forklift operations preferred

  • Valid Local Drivers License

Compensation and Benefits

Base hourly rate commensurate with experience.
