This is an exciting opportunity in Stoughton, Wisconsin for a Test Technician.

Cummins USA is where you can work on industry leading engineering projects such as New Product Development, Value Package Introduction and Systems Product Validation.

Your impact will happen in these and other ways:

To perform testing in Cummins Labs in support of diesel exhaust emissions control system development.

  • Configure and operate engines or test rigs, measuring and recording data as requested

  • Install engines and components in test cells or test rigs. May require lifting of up to 50lbs

  • Set up experiments and prepare components or systems for testing

  • Consistently provides accurate and reliable test results.

  • Fabricate necessary tubing, hardware and brackets to complete engine, test part and test equipment installation.

  • Maintain inventory of samples, prototypes and tools/equipment

  • Configure and operate data acquisition systems.

  • Responsible for adherence to safety rules, policies and procedures. Follows 5S guidelines for cleanliness of equipment and good housekeeping practices

  • Review/execute test plans and documents results in a specified report format including test time, to endure data quality and customer charges

  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of test equipment

  • Interfaces with customers, suppliers, engineers and other functions to ensure high level of customer support excellence.

  • Support TS16949/ISO14001 initiatives by following standard work practices/instructions.

Qualifications

  • Entry level requiring minimum one year of relevant experience from higher education and/or employment in related field (internship or co-op acceptable)

  • Associates degree from an accredited program or higher is preferred.

  • Hands-on fabrication, welding or electrical skills are highly valued

Compensation and Benefits

Base hourly rate commensurate with experience.
