This is an exciting opportunity that can be located in either Miramar, FL or Shoreview, MN for a Customer Service Representative. Cummins USA is where you can work on industry leading projects.

Your impact will happen in these and other ways:

  • Ensures that customers receive the best servicepossible through processing orders, preparing general correspondence, andcoordinating with other functions as required.

  • Acts as customer contactregarding order issues, scheduling, and shipping.

  • Analyzes and coordinates the processing ofcustomer inquiries in regard to internal sales, technical departments anddistribution issues and status, and provide professional response to thecustomer with either documented or verbal communication as appropriate.

  • Timely and efficientprocessing of customer documentation to pre-determined targets, whilemaintaining controlled process.

  • Provision of OrderAcknowledgments for customer base to agreed timescales and process control.

  • Liaise with plantscheduler for available build requirements to meet with customer requests.

  • Completion ofcancellation of customer requests / orders, completion of process controls.

  • Maintain customerprofiles for order entry use.

  • Maintain customer partnumbers for order entry use.

  • Obtain quotations fromagreed supply base for specific customer requests.

  • Comply with establishedregulatory procedures within the distribution of machines to both domestic andexport markets, i.e. inco terms, custom / duty regulatory provisions.

  • Creation and maintenanceof customer order-boards.

  • Provide sickness andholiday cover within the wider Order Management Customer Service group asrequired.

  • Communication oflead-times to customer base.

  • Liaise with FC andglobal planner for delivery to promise date.

  • Visit customers as requiredto maintain adequate working relationship.

  • Ensure attention todetail in delivering customer needs onto the required systems.

  • Acts as “conscience oforganization” with respect to assisting sales managers with specific customerdecisions.

  • Personal and siteresponsibility for health and safety issues pertaining to role.

  • Print, mail, and filecustomer invoices.

  • Answer customer phonesin a timely manner to meet customer response metrics.

  • Excellentcustomer-focused skills to be able to follow-up and take initiative to providethe customer with timely updates.

  • Excellent organization,time management, communication - both written and verbal, and team-orientedskills.

  • Performance will bemeasured based on targets/metrics and timely resolution of tactical tasks.

  • Location is flexible to Shoreview, MN.

  • Provide consultative, pre-sales support information tocustomers (lead time, availability, minor technical support, policy), makingrecommendations and providing guidance.

  • Performs order management functions for a specific set ofcustomers/accounts; responsibility for the entire order life cycle (specialpricing discounts, change order & cancellation processing, invoicing/creditmemos).

  • Act as single point of contact to the customer for orderinquiries.

  • Possess general understanding of logistics, transportation,warehousing needs of assigned customer base.

  • Liaises with internal production, planning & materialsteams to ensure prompt, accurate and timely order throughput.

  • Communicate with staff from other areas in the organizationsuch as production, warehouse, or logistics to confirm the status of orders andresolve customer complaints.

  • Support Order Management Customer Service departmental goals and initiatives to become amore proactive customer support organization: develop, document and enhancestandard sales administrative practices as they pertain to customercommunication, manufacturing communication and order throughput processes.

  • Identify ideas and develop proactive communications toassigned customer base, regarding processes, policy and / or best practices.

  • Hosts customers at local plant for customer visits, witnesstests and/or factory tours.

  • Participates in continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications

Skills

Fluency in Spanish is required (reading, writing, speaking), Portuguese preferred

Technical Skills - General understanding of order entry processes, systems and overall customer support functions. Knowledge of production planning and back office functions, a plus

Education, Licenses,Certifications

B.S or B.A. required

Experience

2 years of previous customer service experience required

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
