We are looking for a talented Product Design Engineer (Hybrid) to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Power Systems Business Segment in Columbus, IN
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Cross-Functional Design Integration - Translates the value package requirements into virtual designs, and communicates the capability of the design through an approved cross-functional design.
Mechanical Design of Mechanical Systems - Designs requirements of all lifecycle stages by considering the customer requirements, operating environments to ensure a robust system.
Mechanical Design Specification - Creates specifications in the form of solid models, configured engineering bill of materials and detailed drawings that cross-functionally communicate.
Mechanical Design Modeling and Analysis - Creates Computer Aided Design models to represent architectural or product level system design concepts.
Product Problem Solving - using a process that protects the customer; determines the assignable cause; implements robust, data-based solutions.
System Requirements Engineering - Uses appropriate methods and tools to translate stakeholder needs into verifiable requirements to which designs are developed.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Prior entry level engineering equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area is required. Knowledge of MS Office and CREO tools is preferred
Product Verification and Validation Management experience, evaluates analytical, simulation and physical test results to verify product capability and validate requirements; assesses legacy versus proposed system solution capabilities and produces recommendations with technical documentation to support product decisions.
Experience with Product Problem Solving identifies the systemic root causes and recommended actions to prevent problem reoccurrence.
1 year plus engineering experience required. College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or appropriate STEM field is required.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
