We are looking for a talented Reliability Engineer to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Engine Business Segment in Rocky Mount, NC
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Qualifications - External
Controls Safety - Recognizes controls related hazards in a manufacturing environment (Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic) to incorporate safe practices and procedures as part of the daily work plan to reduce injuries and create a safe machine environment
Equipment/Capital Procurement - Selects manufacturing equipment which meets the Cummins manufacturing specifications and meets the project or program needs.
Maintenance Reliability Engineering - Interprets maintenance records of machines, tools and components using failure management strategies and quantitative analyses to either resolve existing issues or to identify new technologies to reduce the probability of failure to acceptable limits to continuously update maintenance plans across the organization.
Optimizes work processes - Knowing the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Health and Safety Fundamentals - Champions and models proactive health and safety behaviors by identifying, reporting and participating in actions to improve health and safety in order to build an interdependent culture and contribute to an injury-free workplace.
Project Management - Establishes and maintains the balance of scope, schedule and resources for a temporary effort (a "project").
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
College, university, or equivalent degree and Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.
Leads Predictive Maintenance and Conditioned Based Maintenance programs. Develops plans to eliminate or reduce breakdowns through root-cause analysis .
Uses data to develop engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations.
Works with operations to perform analysis on equipment OEE and implements improvements based on statistical data. Analyzes data to help improve PM’s - Lead, coordinate & maintain – 10 years plan around Equipment Maintenance & reliability
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
