This is an exciting opportunity in Rocky Mount, North Carolina for a Product Support Technician.

Your impact will happen in these and other ways:

  • Support operations in resolving product design or quality problems

  • Work collaboratively with quality and operations teams to determine assignable causes and develop solutions.

  • Attend daily production meetings and update operations on product engineering activities and progress

  • Conduct design evaluations

  • Coordinate part measurements and interpretation

  • Complete VPCR (Value Package Change Request) to improve product design

  • Write engineering releases, deviations, make design changes, modify prints, apply engineering standards, resolve option structure and compatibility issues, and perform fit checks

  • Assist in design reviews and writing technical reports

  • Coordinate project schedules, including ordering of prototype parts, assisting with fit checks, assisting with engine testing, and coordinating with functional areas within the plant

  • Perform form, fit and function studies to ensure quality designs that meet all design requirements and space constraints

  • Prepare technical data and complete documentation of work

  • Communicate work and schedules with management, customers, engineers, and suppliers worldwide

  • Help resolve build compatibility issues

  • Support new product introduction

  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights (up to 25%), weekends and holidays as required


  • Demonstrated interest in mechanical/electrical systems

  • Require a 2 year technical degree with course work that preferably includes: basic manufacturing processes, drafting/print reading, business writing, basic physics, algebra, trigonometry, and basic statistics. Equivalent experience may be substituted for a 2 year technical degree.

  • Require working knowledge of blue print reading, basic computer skills, and basic business writing.

  • Desire knowledge of engine theory & operation, basic manufacturing processes, basic quality control, and Microsoft Office software

  • Experience/Interest in 3D modeling and a willingness to learn engineering evaluation techniques

  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of problem solving tools

  • Strong background/ability to learn Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)

Compensation and Benefit

Base hourly rate commensurate with experience .
