This is an exciting opportunity in New Hudson, MI for a Sr. Technical Trainer supporting our Power Generation group.
Your impact will happen in these and other ways:
Monitors class fill rate and works directly with branch managers and end-users to maximize full seat utilization.
Assist with developing additional management tools and other skillsets for the purpose of continuous improvement.
Assist with developing safety standards and provides input to various safety policies and procedures.
Monitors branch gaps through the utilizations of WWSPS, CST and other identified tools.
Develop expertise through train the trainer sessions and maintain up-to-date training materials.
Evaluates training with participant feedback and field performance.
Maintains technical training records and report service capability.
Customize and modify technical training programs and presentations as required.
Provides certifications for successful completion of each class.
Assist with forecasting training demand and works to develop plans capable of meeting training needs and requirements. Develops own expertise through thorough completion of scheduled train the trainer qualifications sessions as well maintaining up to date training materials. Evaluates training through feedback and performance. Supports and participates in continuous improvement initiatives related to training and improving technical skills and knowledge. Customizes and / or modifies technical training programs and presentations as needed to address specific course requirements.
Training Delivery - Proven capability in demonstrating effective presentation and facilitation skills by adapting content to learner needs.
Communication - Written & Verbal - Significant experience in written and verbal communication and should be capable of communicating effectively to all levels within and outside the company.
Time Management - Consistently demonstrates effective and efficient use of individual and organizational time to achieve key business objects. Models behaviors to others.
Attention to Details - Consistently demonstrates ability to work in a thorough and detailed manner. Provides accurate, consistent information on all documents. Service Product Knowledge - General knowledge of all products in all regions. Deep knowledge of one product line, some knowledge of multiple product lines. Able to apply product knowledge effectively to a wide variety of situations. Deep knowledge of all owned sub-systems, some knowledge of other sub-systems.

Initiative - Demonstrates ownership for starting and completing tasks in a timely manner. Identifies and takes ownership of problems encountered and suggests solutions. Pursues work with energy, drive, and effort to accomplish tasks.
Adaptability - Can alter approach as the situation demands. Works effectively within a variety of situations and with various individuals and groups. Accepts and is supportive of change, and adjusts plans in response.
Required Education, Experience, Licenses or Certifications:
Associate’s degree in a technical field or relevant power generator experience is required.
Bachelor of Science (or equivalent degree) in Business Administration, Engineering or related field is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience working on Cummins Power Generator products is required.
Ability to establish and maintain credibility as an instructor.
Working knowledge of various Cummins service software preferred.
Current product certifications are desired.
Capable of attending factory level qualification courses as needed.
Travel required (up to 25%) to support specific - planned training request or other initiatives designed to grow service capabilities.
Experience with common workplace software (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
Advanced ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
Must comply with safety rules and regulations and apply them to daily work routines.
Must be highly organized and able to handle a variety of duties with limited time frames.
A valid driver's license is required.

Base Salary commensurate with experience.
