This is an exciting opportunity in Neillsville, Wisconsin for a Quality Engineer Technician.

Position Summary: This position is part of Quality Assurance department. This position would be focused on VPI/VPC and PPAP. The responsibilities involve (but not limited to) completing all assigned duties for VPI/VPC projects along with completing and reviewing PPAP documents prior to submitting them to the Customer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and improving systemic issues and processes related to the quality function

  • Develop training and perform training as related to the quality function

  • Develop review and revise procedures pertinent to work area

  • Lead quality initiatives and develop/facilitate quality teams

  • Participate in and/or lead continuous improvement projects related to the quality function

  • Perform capability studies and on-going process capability work

    • Promote quality workmanship that meets and/or exceeds customer expectations

-Interpret technical drawings and specifications and develop processes to monitor their special characteristics

  • Analyze statistical data to ensure special characteristics meet required Cpk and provide reports to management.

  • Support VPI/VPC projects through capability analysis of equipment and product

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of AIAG core tools (APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, Control Plans FMEA, etc)

  • Strong statistical background, mainly Sampling Plans, SPC, capability analysis, and DOE

  • Knowledge of quality systems ISO 9001/IATF 16949

  • Knowledge of Minitab to perform data analysis and ability to interpret results

  • Knowledge of process capability indicators

  • Good computer skills and Microsoft Office skills

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Detail oriented with the ability to work with cross-functional teams

  • Self-motivated and able to work flexible hours.

Education & Experience: Minimum Associates Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in Quality/Engineering
