This is an exciting opportunity in Neillsville, WI for a Master Production Scheduler. Cummins USA is where you can work on industry leading engineering projects such as New Product Development, Value Package Introduction and Systems Product Validation.

Your impact will happen in these and other ways:

  • Establish, manage, and maintain a valid Master Production Schedule for selected items or family of products.

  • Collaborate with other functional teams to ensure customer’s expectations and requirements are met.

  • Analyze the demand and supply balance at product family, part number, and sub-assembly levels as appropriate.

  • Create the Master Production Schedule that satisfies customer demand while optimizing inventory levels and plant capacity utilization.

  • Review and manage change requests from customers, plants, or suppliers, making appropriate reschedules in line with the policy.

  • Determine the impact of daily customer orders and adjusts the daily production schedule to ensure maximum order fulfillment.

  • Work with external and internal cross functional stakeholders to develop and implement short and mid-term tactical improvements.

  • Comply with communication plans and processes to ensure stakeholders’ needs are met.

  • Leverage common processes tools, and information systems.

  • Maintain and advise on changes to planning systems parameters as required. Ensures accuracy of the parameters.

  • Analyze and interpret KPIs to identify areas for improvement and action plans.

  • Lead Six Sigma and functional process improvement teams.

  • Mentor and coach Production Schedulers and/or Production Coordinators.

  • Ensure common processes are being utilized and internal controls are in place.

Education:

B.S or BA in applicable field. APICS Certification preferred. 4 plus years with supervisory experience is required for this role.

Experience

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize

  • Timely and accurate responses/support to internal functional units

  • Attention to detail and clear communication

  • Continuous improvement knowledge and skill set that can be applied to improving planning processes

  • Management experience with team of planners (coaching, mentoring, training, performance management)

  • Develop supply chain analytics to make operational performance and trends visible.

  • Lead and participate in six sigma and supply chain improvement projects. Use common processes tools, and information systems to enable supply chain analysis.

  • Ensure data integrity of all analytics and reports. Develop reporting capability for supply chain Key Performance Indicators.

  • Analyze and interpret Key Performance Indicators to identify areas for improvement and action plans.

  • Use existing business systems to provide analytics and reporting that are capable and repeatable.

  • Develop basic supply chain models for scenario analysis. Conduct internal and external benchmarking analysis. Provide cost analysis as required.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
