Responsibilities:

Position is responsible for managing the customer's experience for the Power Generation environment.

Excellent verbal communication skills with external and internal customers.

Understands the service process, and their role within the process.

An understanding of service metrics and the activity that affects the metrics.

Integrity, enabling trust between both external and internal customers.

Initiates contact with the customer, either in person or over the telephone.

Schedules customer work and updates the appointment calendar as needed.

Creates work orders electronically.

Checks in and inspects all customer vehicles/equipment.

Understands and has a working knowledge of Cummins Business Management System.

Updates customers on their service event status.

Processes payments after the service event.

Actively involved in service center marketing and upselling.

Effectively communicates the needs of the customer to the technicians and parts personnel.

Assures the customer’s expectations are being communicated to everyone involved in the service event.

Works with parts to ensure proper and timely ordering for customer experience.

Qualifications

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

Analysis/problem solving with basic knowledge of engine technology.

PC skills for written communications.

Demonstrates leadership and motivates others in a team environment.

Demonstrates commitment to and creative thinking for continuous improvement.

Participates in the process of continuous improvement for customers, employees and the Company.

Takes active role in NPS (customer surveys) measures and improvement strategy.

Actively engaged in our safety culture, looking out for the safety of their selves and co-workers.

Excellent communications skills - active listening, writing, speaking and telephone.

Demonstrates ability to work through conflict and strong negotiations skills.

Effective user of good problem-solving skills.

Ability to develop and maintain a good business relationship with customers.

Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills.

Demonstrates ability to initiate, expedite and follow through to task completion.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

Minimum high school graduate or equivalent.

Experience

Experience necessary in handling customers in a courteous and professional manner

Familiar with Parts process a plus

Minimum 2 years of experience in Service Dept

Power Generation experience and repair process a plus.

Ability to positively react to change in environment, processes and people.

Ability to make quick decisions, have a decision-making process in place.

Has the ability to overcome stressful/difficult situations with customers with a positive outcome.
