This is an exciting opportunity in Nashville, TN for a Senior Accountant. Cummins USA is where you can work on industry leading projects.

Your impact will happen in these and other ways:

  • Responsible for JournalEntries for Month End Close.

  • Responsible for accountreconciliations.

  • Responsible for forecasting.

  • Responsible for varianceAnalysis of P&L and BS.

  • Assists with audits.

  • Assists with reporting.

  • Responsible for most complexactivities associated with general ledger, financial/operating reports, and/orbudget.

  • Performs complex duties related to preparation and analysisof financial information to record transactions, prepare financial reports, andreview and verify accuracy.

  • Compiles, consolidates, and conducts complex analysis ofaccounting and financial information.

  • Prepares balance sheet and profit and loss statements,consolidated financial statements, and other accounting schedules and reports.

  • Conducts research and analysis on complex issues, andprepares strategic recommendations to management based on analysis.

  • Identifies control weaknesses, communications to management,and operates in a lead capacity in making remedial changes to tighten andenhance controls and mitigate risk.

  • Makes appropriate journal entries to general ledger.

  • Leads monthly and annual reconciliations and close activitiesfor assigned accounts.

  • Coaches less experienced Accountants.

Qualifications

Education, Licenses,Certifications

College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.

Progress toward Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Chartered Accountant or similar certification preferred.

Experience

3 years of relevant professional work experience as an Accountant, preferably in a publicly traded company.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
