This is an exciting opportunity in Nashville, TN for an Accountant. Cummins USA is where you can work on industry leading projects.

Your impact will happen in these and other ways:

  • Reconcile and adjust various general ledger accounts. Prepare related financial reports and statements.

  • Compile, consolidate, and conduct basic analysis of accounting and finance information.

  • Assist with the production of monthly and annual financial statements and reports.

  • Make accounting adjustments through appropriate journal entries.

  • Assist with monthly and annual account reconciliations and close activities.

  • Examine a variety of financial statements and transactions for completeness, internal accuracy, and conformance with accounting standards.

  • Prepare tables, charts, and other exhibits for reports.

  • Perform less complex accounting projects or participate as a team member on more complex projects.


Skills and Experience Required:


  • Microsoft Office: Excel and Word

  • Communication: Verbal and Written

  • Time Management

  • Systems: Oracle and Outlook preferred

  • Organizational


  • Minimal relevant professional work experience inthe field of study required.

  • Close AR/AP Sub-leger and balance related accounts

  • Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts in ARM system

  • Balance Weekly Cash

  • Prepare Monthly Journal Entries

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
