This is an exciting opportunity in Mineral Points, Wisconsin for a Materials Planner/Scheduler.
Cummins USA is where you can work on industry leading engineering projects such as New Product Development, Value Package Introduction and Systems Product Validation.
This Position is responsible for managing the availability of raw material for manufacturing operations while effectively managing annual operating plan and team targets.
§ Plan, order and expedite material via MRP and Oracle Supplier Collaborative Planning.
§ Verify daily receipt verification to schedules ensuring adequate supply of material
§ Determine and maintain planning parameters and inventory levels for designated parts
§ Supply demand forecasts to vendors
§ Initiate and maintain materials agreements with suppliers which include defining order parameters, packaging requirements, part number strategy, line side presentation, and supplier development work
§ Manage new part introductions, engineering changes and revisions
§ Be responsible for the disposition of excess/obsolete inventory and work with other areas in the investigation/disposition process
§ Monitor and communicate with suppliers to achieve excellent on-time delivery
§ Manage material flow through the supply chain to ensure customers are receiving excellent service
§ Provide timely feedback to internal and external customers
§ Perform cycle counting and maintain accuracy of parts
§ Perform invoice price variance reconciliation, if necessary
§ Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor
§ Ability to work well with others
§ Strong computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, MRP systems – Oracle 11i, SAP, etc.)
§ Self motivated and aggressive
§ Strong written and oral communication skills
§ Strong analytical skills
§ Ability to handle stressful situations
§ Associates degree or equivalent work experience in inventory planning, materials management, MRP and scheduling
§ APICS certification preferred or willingness to take courses
Compensation and Benefits
Base hourly rate commensurate with experience.
