Currently, we are recruiting for a Service Advisor for our Miami, FL Service Center. This position is responsible for managing the customer's experience for the following in either an "In Shop" or "Mobile" environment

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to customers, including end-users, distributors, and/or dealers, seeking information through various mediums, with a primary focus on online inquiries.

  • Document customer inquiry information within appropriate Cummins systems.

  • Provide prompt assistance to customers through various media.

  • Resolve customer issues through an understanding of Cummins processes, systems, and practices.

  • Escalate complex issues providing documentation through process.

  • Provides feedback to support improvement projects intended to improve customer experiences and organizational goals.

  • Provides suggestions on how the existing processes can be made more customer centric or efficient.

  • Performssuch other duties in the service operations area as may be assigned.

  • Completesindividual development plan for personal improvement work and attends classes, seminars and other training sessions, as required, to keep abreast of changes in service and products.

  • Understands existing and new Cummins processes, systems, and practices.

  • Initiates contact with the customer either in person or over the telephone.

  • Schedules in shop customer work.

Qualifications

Skills and Experience:

  • Collaborates - Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.

  • Communicates effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.

  • Manages conflict - Handling conflict situations effectively, with a minimum of noise.

  • Customer focus - Building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions.

  • Good verbal communication skills with external and internal customers.

  • Understands the service process, measures and the activity that affects the measures

  • Integrity enabling trust between both external and internal customers.

  • Analysis/problem solving with basic knowledge of diesel engine technology.

  • PC skills for written communications.

  • Experience necessary in handling customers in a courteous and professional manner.

  • Demonstrates ability to work through conflict and strong negotiations skills.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

Compensation and Benefits

Base hourly rate commensurate with experience
