This is an exciting opportunity in Memphis, TN for a Accounts Payable Supervisor. Cummins USA is where you can work on industry leading projects.
Your impact will happen in these and other ways:
Managing accountspayable for internal and external suppliers to Memphis Distribution Center andRegional Distribution Center, including error correction, exception managementand and WOWB
Managing internal andexternal goods in transit calculation, GRNI reconciliation, inter-companydispute database and PPV/ IPV.
Co-ordinate errorcorrection work transitioned to Global Analytics Center team in India.
Analyzing businessresults for various product Business Units for bridging the material variancesagainst AOP/ forecast.
Strong understanding ofCore, Bolt, AGIS, Thunder and other key financial systems.
Managing the performanceof AP analysts team
Responsible for planning, scheduling, andsupervising the work of an accounts payable team.
Supervises a group of accounts payable clerks within theestablished accounting policies of the corporation.
Monitors records of amounts owed and assures prompt paymentof invoices.
Recommends changes in methods and procedures to improve theefficiency of the accounts payable unit.
Coaches and mentors accounts payable clerks; assigns workaccording to availability, skills, and developmental needs; assessesperformance and provides feedback to direct reports.
Excellent Excel skills
Prefer experience in a shared services environment
Oracle experience preferred, ERP required
Strong analytical skills
Position will require up to 10% travel
College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent related work experience required.
Intermediate level of relevant professional work experience in the field of study required, including some supervisory experience.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
