Key Responsibilities

  • Perform AUTOCAD and Solidworks Design. Create 3-D models using SolidWorks CAD software for design solutions. Must have at least 3 years of Solidworks CAD Modeling Experience.

  • Responsible for ensuring all process and equipment changes are properly documented and follows Cummins procedures.

  • Own Solidworks CAD Model Library for all CTP machines, equipment, and fixtures.

  • Produce detail drawings of components using SolidWorks for quoting and procurement purposes.

  • Produce assembly drawings with exploded views and bill of materials (BOMs).

  • Participate as Manufacturing Engineering representative on equipment Design Review Meetings.

  • Submit Manufacturing Change Requests (MCR) whenever required using CTT MCR access database.

  • Own MCRs up to completion of project.

  • Perform Duties ranging up to an entry level Manufacturing Engineer. This can include supporting and implementing projects on equipment, cycle time analysis/improvements, Humantech reviews, PFMEA, MFMEA, and process control plan work.

  • Support Safety, Operations, and Maintenance functions as needed.

  • Lead and work across cross functional teams to ensure successful project implementation.

  • Work under the guidance of the Manufacturing Engineers based per project.

  • Strong GD&T skills

  • Knowledge of basic Assembly and Machining processes.

  • Must be familiar with different heat treatment processes. Also able to correctly select and specify heat treatment tolerances on the drawing.

  • Must have prior knowledge in proper Material selection for tooling and fixtures.

  • Strong application and use of the PC and CTT business software.

Education

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related technical or scientific field preferred.

Experience

3 Years of Solidworks Experience and mechanical design work

  • 5 years of Manufacturing, Mechanical Design and Industrial experience.

  • Project management experience required
