Description

We are looking for a talented Controls Engineering Technician - 2nd shift to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Components Business Segment in Ladson, SC.

In this role, you will perform skilled activities which support manufacturing business needs. Selects and uses appropriate tools, machinery, and specialty equipment. Learns and understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment. May work independently and instruct or coach others.

Qualifications

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Coaching, teaching, and training the maintenance team

  • Improving the quality and downtime of the assembly machines

  • Will be the subject matter experience during their shift

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

  • Must have an associate degree in Mechanical or Electrical

  • The ideal candidate will have an electrical and control background

  • Experience with project and improvement work

  • The ideal candidate will have experience working in an Industrial and/or Electrical

  • Strong communication abilities

Education, Licenses, Certifications

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

  • Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

  • Assembly and Test breakdown and troubleshooting next level support

  • Out of hours telephone/remote support and call out as needed

  • Project work to include Electrical panel build, wiring, and commissioning

  • Respond in a timely manner to Controls safety issues

  • Assist with training TPM on controls related subjects

  • Develop and Perform Controls based Preventative Maintenance

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
