Our Distributions Business Unit helps Cummins by providing outstanding support to our customers.
In this role, under direct or close supervision, the PARTS II - DRIVER will follow established procedures and guidelines to receive, handle, store, perform system transactions and dispatch goods in a factory or warehouse. Receive incoming goods; check for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices. Accurately sort, label, store goods and arrange storage to optimize warehouse space. Pick, pack, and dispatch outgoing goods according to written or verbal requests or orders. Certified to operate forklifts or other warehouse machinery.
This is an exciting opportunity in Irvine, CA for a Parts II - Driver . Specific duties to include:
Drive different routes with different vehicles, loading and unloading several times daily
Pull orders to be delivered that day; include inventory, proper packaging, making sure invoice is correct
Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in warehouse or storage yard
Manage and order packaging materials
Receive orders and parts from vendors and other branches; Inspect shipments to note damage or any problem with items
Make sure truck is properly equipped with the correct materials, such as: pallets, straps, wrapping blankets, etc.
Assist other department with special projects, such as moving and lifting boxes
Perform housekeeping duties: sweeping, cleaning and straightening shelves; keeping aisles clear

Experience, Education, Licenses, and Certifications :
Candidate must meet all eligibility requirements to drive a Company vehicle, including but not limited to a valid class C driver's license and clean driving record (no more than two points; no DUIs).
Ability to safely operate large motor vehicles in tight and small spaces.
Good interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, vendors and colleagues.
Knowledge of inventory management systems desirable.
Ability to use computerized systems for shipping and receiving material
Basic knowledge of automotive parts is desirable.
Current or recent certification to operate forklift and/or other warehouse equipment ideal.
Flexibility to work morning or afternoon route.
