We are looking for a talented Information Technology and Cybersecurity Attorney to join our team in Indianapolis, IN.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Identify legal risks and execute strategies to advance the Company’s business, IT, and Cybersecurity objectives and mitigation plans by understanding legal issues and translating them into easily understood and practical legal advice

  • Provide legal advice when necessary to respond to a data breach or cybersecurity incidents or an inquiry from government authorities including the Federal Trade Commission, State Attorneys General, or foreign government authorities at the direction of the General Counsel and senior leadership

  • Assign and manage work performed by outside counsel in a cost-effective manner

  • Working with multiple teams in a fast paced environment to provide general business counseling and legal advice on routine issues impacting the Company and individual businesses


To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Degree in law and license to practice in any US state

  • Minimum 4 years experience practicing law with primary focus on cybersecurity and information technology transactions

  • Experience drafting and reviewing cybersecurity policies; experience with incident response and working with law enforcement and regulatory agencies

  • Experience drafting and negotiating software licensing agreements and commercial technology agreements, including SaaS agreements and cloud-based service agreements

  • Demonstrated customer centered approach to working with clientele

  • Experience reviewing proposed government regulations and providing business impact feedback

  • Experience managing and engaging with external counsel

  • Experience interfacing heavily with data privacy and cybersecurity teams

  • Data privacy and/or cybersecurity certification preferred

  • Experience with global laws, including global data privacy/global cybersecurity laws, preferred

  • Experience in automotive or engine manufacturing industry preferred

  • Six sigma preferred

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
