Diesel Technician - 2nd Shift

Description

We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician to join our Distribution Business (Indianapolis, IN).

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop

  • Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools

  • Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles

  • Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies

  • Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products

  • Maintain own tools

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

(Entry):

  • Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics

  • Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality

(Intermediate):

  • Completes complex internal engine repairs

  • Performs engine overhauls with limited direct supervision

(Advanced):

  • Ability to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic tools

  • Larger more complicated engine rebuilds

  • Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation

Seeking Level III Technician with Internal Engine Experience Including overhauls.

  • The ability to obtain a CDL may be required.

  • This position requires a completed DMV driving report but no driver qualification files. This position will be part of the FTA pool.

Compensation and Benefits Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Qualifications

This position does not require a CDL, but would be nice to have; a CDL may be required to obtain upon hire. Must be 21 years old to obtain CDL.

This position will require a completed DMV driving report but no Driver Qualification file. Candidate must be at least 18 years old and have 2 years driving experience. This position will be a part of the FTA pool.

  • Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older

  • A current valid license is required for this role

  • Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience

  • This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations

  • This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.
