This is an exciting opportunity in Indianapolis, IN for a Concierge and Project Manager. Cummins USA is where you can work on industry leading projects.

Your impact will happen in these and other ways:

  • Supports several aspects of a function’s Functional Excellence efforts.

  • Works within assigned functional discipline to assist with improvements in common functional processes and tools.

  • Assists with the development of communications to ensure that employees are up-to-date on functional and discipline ideas and efforts.

  • Deploys the communications strategy to increase awareness, enthusiasm, and participation in the functional excellence program.

  • Maintains updates and accuracy of information documented in functional databases, websites, etc.

  • Assists with management of assigned projects.

  • Assists with Cummins Operating System Functional Assessment Process.

  • Ensure the Concierge program is accessible to our customers – always within reach

  • Add to the world class experience of our Cummins lobbies.

  • Move issues to resolution among all common area, customer facing elements.

  • Create a more seamless experience when in Cummins care. This can be done through advice on local amenities such as restaurants, lodging, transportation, directions and information on local attractions per the Preferred Neighbors list.

  • Customize experiences to fit unique customers’ needs.

  • Deliver basic understanding of Cummins global history, business and values. Maintain confidentiality pertaining to business matters.

  • Advise on interview and hire for all front desk staff positions – Global Lobby Ambassadors.

  • Provide reports and metrics on service usage and guest behavior.

  • Collaborate monthly with other community leaders and neighbors.

  • Proctor & maintain Hospitality InBoarding, as well as manage and/or facilitate building tours.

  • Deliver customer requirements for off-sites with appropriate level of touch for Board of Directors (BOD), Cummins Leadership Team (CLT) and customers.

  • Contract review and consultation on external food and beverage, services, meeting space for all Cummins parties as asked.



  • Facilitate Internal Relationships and Consensus - Pull a broad mix of people and related skill bases together for a common purpose and goal. Ability to influence because people on your team will very rarely report directly to you as a leader. Group dynamic techniques to have an individual or group work through a challenging issue, probe for issues/concerns and drive to consensus.

  • Manage Customer Relationship - Understanding of techniques and tools to enhance productivity (i.e. schedules, appointments, call plans, etc). Understanding attitudes and behaviors to establish relationships and build trust. Understands the need to and responds with the appropriate time frame to customer needs. Identifies decision makers and those influential in the decision process and effectively communicates with them. In managing this relationship, displays core values (e.g. empathy, etc.) and is able to adequately interrogate matter to identify root concerns.

  • Develop Systems and Processes - Knowledge or awareness of systems and processes development. Limited application of systems and processes to improve and complete work. Documents simple work processes and procedures.

  • Innovate - Knowledge or awareness of innovation. Approaches problems with curiosity and open mindedness. Generates new ideas within area of responsibility. Contributes own perspective in collaborative innovation efforts.

  • Analyze Issues - Knowledge or awareness of how to analyze issues and application of logic and problem-solving skills. Identifies the connection between different issues and problems.

  • Tolerate Ambiguity - Can decide and act without having all the details of a situation. Tolerates uncertainty. Comfortably assess the risk of uncertainty. Acts resourcefully when dealing with ambiguous situations. Shows evidence of the skill being performed.


  • Minimum five years of experience in the hospitality industry, with a full understanding of the Indianapolis hospitality calendar and geographical landmarks.

  • Working and practical knowledge of the cuisine of foreign cultures.

  • Working and practical knowledge of cooking techniques and ingredients.

  • Knowledge and ability to perform all front of house tasks including but not limited to: bartending, wine service, dining room management, serving, busing, room set-up and tear-down, meeting room services.

  • Working and practical knowledge of the business customs of foreign cultures.

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications

College, university, or equivalent degree in field appropriate for the function required.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
