We are looking for a talented Commercial Digital Attorney to join our team in Indianapolis, IN.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Identify legal risks and execute strategies to advance the Company’s digital business’ growth objectives by understanding legal issues and translating them into easily understood and practical legal advice

  • Responsibility for managing, negotiating, drafting and overseeing a variety of complex legal matters and cutting-edge commercial and technology agreements including reviewing, drafting, negotiating and providing business-focused legal advice with respect to digital transactions ( i.e. ,artificial intelligence, data analytics, telematics, software licensing, and software/application development agreements)

  • Assign and manage work performed by outside counsel in a cost-effective manner

  • Working with multiple teams in a fast paced environment to provide general business counseling and legal advice on routine issues impacting the Company, the digital business, and other business units

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Degree in law and license to practice in any US state

  • Minimum 4 years experience practicing law

  • Experience drafting and negotiating digital transactions agreements

  • Demonstrated customer centered approach to working with clientele

  • Experience reviewing proposed government regulations and providing business impact feedback

  • Experience managing and engaging with external counsel

  • Experience reviewing and negotiating software licensing agreements

  • Data privacy and/or cybersecurity certification preferred

  • Experience with global laws, including global data privacy/global cybersecurity laws preferred

  • Experience in automotive or engine manufacturing industry, including with telematics preferred

  • Six sigma preferred

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
