Description
We are looking for a talented Facilities Technician to join our Team at our Glen Burnie, MD location.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Performs routine building maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures.
Assists in a wide variety of maintenance activities;
Addresses immediate operational and/or safety concerns; and ensures that tools, materials, and vehicles are maintained in good working order.
Maintains safe work habits and actions in all aspects of the daily task;
Evaluates reactive work for safety issues, plan projects so that safety is key, and reviews preventative work for any unforeseen items that may present safety hurdles.
Utilizes software to track, assign, and prioritize reactive, planned, preventative, and predictive maintenance work and building management systems.
Orders supplies from various vendors and assists in managing spare parts inventories.
Performs work in a wide variety of conditions, such as extreme heat, cold, and moisture.
Maintains housekeeping and safety in work areas;
Upkeep on the exterior yard, including pit and sump clean/repair.
Conducts minor repairs including plumbing in restrooms along with dock drain; floor repair & spill pickup, including carpet and floor tile;
Ceiling and light fixture installation;
Wall repair including drywall installation, patching, wall hanging, and painting.
Operates and maintains vehicle equipment such as fork truck, golf carts, etc.
Uses powered hand tools drills, grinders, porta-band, etc.) based on job needs.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
CDL or ability to obtain one helpful for this position.
Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
Taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.
This position requires a CDL (Med-Card) and will be a part of the FMCSA pool. We will also be required to complete a DMV driving report for this position. ORDER, DOT Physical, FMCSA Drug Test, DMV report

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
