Facilities Technician

Description

We are looking for a talented Facilities Technician to join our Team at our Glen Burnie, MD location.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Performs routine building maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures.

• Assists in a wide variety of maintenance activities;

• Addresses immediate operational and/or safety concerns; and ensures that tools, materials, and vehicles are maintained in good working order.

• Maintains safe work habits and actions in all aspects of the daily task;

• Evaluates reactive work for safety issues, plan projects so that safety is key, and reviews preventative work for any unforeseen items that may present safety hurdles.

• Utilizes software to track, assign, and prioritize reactive, planned, preventative, and predictive maintenance work and building management systems.

• Orders supplies from various vendors and assists in managing spare parts inventories.

• Performs work in a wide variety of conditions, such as extreme heat, cold, and moisture.

• Maintains housekeeping and safety in work areas;

• Upkeep on the exterior yard, including pit and sump clean/repair.

• Conducts minor repairs including plumbing in restrooms along with dock drain; floor repair & spill pickup, including carpet and floor tile;

• Ceiling and light fixture installation;

• Wall repair including drywall installation, patching, wall hanging, and painting.

• Operates and maintains vehicle equipment such as fork truck, golf carts, etc.

• Uses powered hand tools drills, grinders, porta-band, etc.) based on job needs. 

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

• CDL or ability to obtain one helpful for this position.

• Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.

• Taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.

  This position requires a CDL (Med-Card) and will be a part of the FMCSA pool. We will also be required to complete a DMV driving report for this position. ORDER, DOT Physical, FMCSA Drug Test, DMV report

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
