This is an exciting opportunity in Galesburg,Michigan for an Operations Director.

Your impact will happen in these and other ways:

  • Provide operations leadership for the joint ventureoperations. Oversees the JV’s operations staff and collaborates with parentcompany plants to achieve JV goals.

  • Provide manufacturing leadership and improvementfocus for assembly operations driving results, creating and monitoringmeasures, providing motivation, setting expectations in safety, quality,production, delivery and cost.

  • Manage and develop supply chain capability; workwith employees to set goals in training and development, performance, andcareer planning.

  • Mentor and coach individual and collective talentto develop manufacturing and supply chain capability across the organization.

  • Champion continuous improvement projects thatalign with best practices by leveraging common processes, tools and informationsystems.

  • Partner with internal and external functionalstakeholders to maintain relationships.

  • Ensure intercompany supply chains meet allcustomer and business requirements.

  • Align with internal business partners to garnersupport and advocacy of enterprise manufacturing and supply chain initiatives.

  • Review KPI’s and operational trends to validateroot cause analysis and corrective action plans.

  • Intervene to address supply chain failures asnecessary.

  • Prepare and manage an annual operating planincluding capital, expenses and resources.

  • Set the aim for the organization and ensureindividual work plans are consistent with supply chain initiatives.

  • Responsible for ensuring ECJV values are present.This includes championing diversity, community involvement and rightenvironment initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Significantlevel of relevant work experience, including managerial and budgetaryexperience, required.

  • Responsiblefor global operational footprint expansion and optimization – strategy andexecution

  • Senior escalation point for supplier capacity ramp up and achievementissues

  • Overseedelivery commitments/constraints to customers

  • Senior ECJV owner for the Eaton(and potentially Cummins) manufacturing service contracts (manufacturingengineering, supply chain management, materials planning, quality, etc.)

  • Developclose working relationships with parent company functional service contractowners

  • Determinethe long-term plan for the manufacturing support services agreement beyond2022, the first opportunity for change

  • Ensureannual demand for manufacturing support services are communicated to service providersby October each year

  • Growand develop the Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering and Quality functionswithin the JV to support product portfolio expansion and global growth

  • Managethe monthly manufacturing services score cards, escalating issues as needed

Education, Licenses,Certifications

College, university, or equivalent degree required.
