We are looking for a talented Production Scheduling Coordinator to join our team for our location in Fridley, MN.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Under minimal supervision and in accordance with Cummins Delegation of Authority Policy, plans and establishes production schedules to meet customer demand.

  • Develops production schedules in accordance with sales forecast, plant and employee capacity, and new business opportunities.

  • Works to align and optimize raw material (RM) stocking strategies with Material Planners, Work In Process (WIP) with Operations, and Finished Goods (FG) stocking strategies with Materials and Customer Service.

  • Creating upfit/defit (WIP jobs)

  • Scheduling customer orders

  • Capacity planning

  • Coordinating storage trailer picks for production

  • Answering inventory and scheduling related questions from OMCS

  • Putting together information for OMCS/Ops meetings

  • Tracking containers and getting updates on arrivals

  • Inventory inquiries

  • Inventory discrepancies (investigation)

  • Parts and Alternator shortages – Updates

  • Parts Replenishment

  • Backup support for shipping clerk

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

  • College, University or equivalent degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

  • Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience in an equivalent field such as materials planning, production scheduling, manufacturing, or inventory control.

  • Must have strong organizational skills

  • Must be experienced with comupters and MS Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)

  • Previous experience with Oracle Software is preferred.

  • Previous experience with Inventory planning

  • Ability to work 1s Shift: M - F, 7 AM - 3 PM (Flexible)

  • Pay starting at $26.83/HR or higher, based on experience level.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
