Cummins Inc. Receptionist in Dallas, Texas
We are looking for a Receptionist to join our team specializing in Sales and Service for our Distribution Segment in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Receives visitors and supports individual, department or site staff by promptly, courteously and accurately addressing requests for assistance.
Acts as the organization's first point of contact for visitors and/or callers while ensuring professional communication.
Receives and directs calls in a courteous and efficient manner.
Welcomes visitors, ensures and maintains proper sign-in documents and explains/follows safety procedures.
Completes all incoming and outgoing mail requirements, including courier services and manages maintenance of the postage machine as applicable.
Schedules appointments, meetings and books conference rooms.
Orders lunch for both employees and visitors.
Manages the office supplies stockroom, places office supplies orders and maintains effective administration.
Contacts vendors and suppliers as requested to advise of plant/site shutdowns and other disruptions in service.
Maintains badges for new hires, contractors and visitors.
Supports administrative projects as assigned.
Provides other administrative support activities where required.
To be successful in this role you will need the following
- Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
Education, Licenses, Certifications
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
The receptionist role is a critical part of our branch’s success. The environment is fast paced and provides a great platform for talent to shine. This is a great entry level role to learn the ins and outs of service branch operations. Historically people who demonstrate initiative and teamwork are successful in this role and have used it as a starting point to further career growth at Cummins.
As the first and primary contact with our customers, the receptionist is a critical part of our customer’s experience at Cummins and is a partner on many efforts to enhance that experience.
We are seeking someone with a warm and friendly demeanor with internal and external customers as well as a collaborative approach to teamwork.
In addition to receiving phone calls and greeting customers, the receptionist manages our COVID-19 screening process.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
