This is an exciting opportunity to work in our Master Rebuild Center in Dallas, TX as a Components Inspector. This role will inspect engine parts both visually and using select instruments to ensure parts meet Cummins re-use guide lines. Will be part of the Subject Matter Expert team on reuse standard.
Skills and Experience Required:
Must be able to follow and interpret process documentation instruction sheets.
Must be able to use a wide range of measuring devices such as micrometers and calipers.
Able to order parts for assembly when reuse part is rejected. Maintain a clean work environment.
Able to inspect parts visually for excessive wears
Ensure parts meets the 3 Fs form, fit and function. Perform other duties deemed necessary by supervisor.
Wear uniforms and maintain the standard set with regards to appearance and PPE safety.
Assist Operators and Supervisors get up to speed on Quick serve.
Be able to comply with written task instruction sheets.
Responsible to maintain a clean work environment.
Perform duties other than disassembly, Assembly and inspection as deemed necessary by Management.
Follow all Cummins safety procedures.
Required Education, Licenses or Certifications
High School diploma/GED or relevant experience for the position.
Must possess strong interpersonal and customer relations skills.
Intermediate Computer knowledge.
Must be able to read and write English.
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
Must be able to work a shift from 3:30PM to 2:00AM.
Intermediate computer knowledge.
Must have an internal drive for customer service and provide and elevated level of service for internal and external customers.
Must comply with all safety rules and regulations and apply them to daily work routines for personal safety and the safety of others.
Compensation and Benefits
Base hourly rate commensurate with experience.
