We are looking for a talented System Simulation Technical Specialist to join our team specializing in systems simulation for our Systems Performance Analysis group based in Columbus Indiana or fully remote from your remote home office.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Use/develop vehicle system modeling concepts/tools.

  • Evaluate, prototype, and implement new technologies in-vehicle system modeling domain.

  • Translate the project objectives into modeling requirements and to advocate the right ALD tools to use to accomplish those objectives.

  • Support and train customers in using the tools.

  • Communicate with worldwide internal Cummins customers and sometimes external Cummins customers for modeling discussions.

  • Desire to develop tools and processes for engineering analysis and research

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • College, university, or equivalent bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines is required. Post-graduate (Master's) degree relevant to this discipline area may be required for select roles.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

  • Prior Senior or Lead Engineer equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area is required with a demonstrated track record of technical problem solving and quality decision making.

  • Strong background in Matlab/Simulink (Similar tool) model-based design and simulation.

  • Preferred: Controls education or experience

  • Knowledge of MS Office tools is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
