This is an exciting opportunity for Service Engineer- Technical Specialists #IN733 in Columbus, Indiana
Your impact will happen in these and other ways:
Identify complex service issues, initiate problem solving, document cost and user impact information to establish priority for corrective action.
Understand and apply Hazard Analysis techniques and procedures in a variety of work situations, and lead reviews related to the results.
Act as a technical liaison between the business field organization and the Engineering, Quality, & Manufacturing organizations to identify, define, and prioritize complex product issues and implement solutions.
Demonstrate knowledge of corporate warranty system and marketing structure basics to support OEM's, distributors, and end users to maintain excellent partnerships as part of Warranty/Policy Support.
Lead or manage failure analyses with Field Service, Warranty, and Engineering to communicate and define issues.
Partner with distributor, dealers, and stakeholders to support the investigation of complex escalated product issues, discuss solutions, and conduct training because of complexity, longevity, and criticality.
Support product development teams and problem-solving teams via the installation of field test engines or components and the monitoring, analysis, and reporting of reliability data.
Participate proactively during reviews to ensure the serviceability of new components and products including the monitoring of new product performance.
Identify improvements to the problem-solving processes and tools, including Rapid Problem Solving.
Create initial publication and subsequent revision of service literature.
Ensure new information regarding technical solutions and service procedures is communicated to the service organization.
Utilize the 7 Step Product Problem Solving Process and Fault Tree Analysis to identify and solve complex service problems.
Conduct field investigations including using service tools for diagnosis, data analysis, and generation of field investigation reports.

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications
Positions requires Master’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Systems Engineering, or related field and two years of experience as Service, Mechanical, or Systems Engineer, or related position.
Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Systems Engineering, or related field and five years of experience as Service, Mechanical, or Systems Engineer, or related position.
JOB SITE: Columbus, Indiana
WORK HOURS: 40 hours/week - 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Compensation and Benefits
Base hourly rate commensurate with experience plus bonus.
