Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer - Battery Systems
We are looking for a talented Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our New Power Business Unit in Columbus, Indiana/ your remote home office.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Designs and implements test processes.
Evaluates, recommends, and implements automated test tools and strategies of components or products in a manufacturing environment.
Develops, maintains, and upgrades test equipments and architectures for application products.
Analyzes test results to provide recommendation and guidance in root cause of test failure events.
Understands end product specific functional test during assembly.
Evaluates, recommends, and implements automated test tools and strategies.

Education, Licenses, Certifications
College, university, or equivalent degree required.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience
Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.
Knowledge on battery BMS system and CAN communication preferred
Knowledge on LabVIEW, Enerchron, Vector CANalyzer and AVL Lynx system preferred
Design, implement, improve manufacturing Test equipment for EOL Pack & Module, IPV of cells, modules, & packs
Specify, procure, and install manufacturing Test equipment
Support Design For Assembly (DFA) analysis for new products
Subject Matter Expert for EPBU specific processes (EOL test Packs, EOL test modules, inline testing (IPV).
Core Team support for VPI of new and current product
travel less than 10% and can include international
Project manage and lead cross-functional work team to design and implement new test processes and equipment to meet OEE and safety objectives (i.e., Transformation)
Active participant of periodic IATF/ISO audits
Utilize A3, FTA, 5-Whys, Fishbone, 6S tools as main problem solving tools
Conduct periodic capability studies to ensure stability of processes
Resolve internal and external CARs
Review MCRs and complete tasks in a timely manner
Review VPCRs and provide assembly response form
Support production on a daily basis to ensure smooth operation (equipment availability, quality, throughput, and safety)
On-going learning and certification in Supply Chain Academy, company policies, and other training requirements

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
