This is an exciting opportunity in Columbus, Indiana for a Senior Analyst, Finance Systems. Cummins USA is where you can work on industry leading projects.

Your impact will happen in these and other ways:

  • Use your skills and experienceas a PFR (planning, forecasting and reporting) Finance Analyst to assist theBusiness Unit.

  • Experience isrequired in Oracle Financials General Ledger, Hyperion Financials, OracleMaster Data (DRM), SmartView, Microsoft Excel Pivot Tables, simple andcomplex Formulas to assist the Business Unit.

  • Skills and andexperience or the strong desire to learn Visual Basic Analysis (VBA), BusinessIntelligence (MSBI), MDS, Power BI DAX, SQL, Mix, Power Pivot, Power BI, PowerView.

  • Grow in the ability tocommunicate the technical and the process side of Finance Systems in order toact as a liaison for development of systems solutions or resolution of systemsissues between Finance Function and IT support.

  • Supports a specific financesystem as the business unit or functional subject matter expert and/or systemadministrator; responsible for the maintenance of a critical finance system.

  • Understands financial, accounting, and treasury concepts andapplies them to finance systems.

  • Collaborates with finance leaders and subject matter expertswithin the business unit or organization to support information needs of thebusiness.

  • Identifies and leads finance systems improvement projectswithin the business unit or corporate function that they support.

  • Partners with Information Technology teams and projectmanagement specialists to develop, test and deliver Finance Systems solutions.

  • Assists end-users in developing customized reports and ad hocanalysis.

  • Identifies, evaluates and documents internal controls in abusiness process; understands the company’s approach to internal controls.

  • Trains end-users in order to expedite adoption of new systemsolutions.

  • Coaches and mentors finance systems analysts.


Education, Licenses,Certifications

College, university, or equivalent degree in accounting, finance, information systems or related subject required.

Strong MS Office skills, in particular Excel or Access, is preferred.


3 – 5 years of relevant work experience required. Experience with Oracle Business Intelligence, Oracle Financials/ERP, and/or Hyperion applications or similar reporting platforms is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
