This is an exciting opportunity in Columbus, Indiana for a Senior Analyst, Finance Systems. Cummins USA is where you can work on industry leading projects.

Your impact will happen in these and other ways:

  • Supports a specific finance system as the Engine business unit or functional subject matter expert and/or system administrator; responsible for the maintenance of a critical finance system.Systems supported include, but are not limited to, Common Invoicing Solution; Special Sales Allowance (SSA2) System; Invoice Master, and Invoice Cost Match. Cummins systems – Oracle, web based apps.

  • Leading the daily support, improvement, and project efforts for assigned systems.

  • Acts as the Business intelligence or data analytics functional excellence resource.

  • Acts as a liaison between business and IT to implement the best possible solutions.

  • Works cross functionally, to leverage common solutions in all applicable Finance Systems and finance processes.

  • Understands financial, accounting, and treasury concepts and applies them to finance systems.

  • Collaborates with finance leaders and subject matter experts within the business unit or organization to support information needs of the business.

  • Identifies and leads finance systems improvement projects within the business unit or corporate function that they support.

  • Partners with Information Technology teams and project management specialists to develop, test and deliver Finance Systems solutions.

  • Assists end-users in developing customized reports and ad hoc analysis.

  • Identifies, evaluates and documents internal controls in a business process; understands the company’s approach to internal controls.

  • Trains end-users in order to expedite adoption of new system solutions.Coaches and mentors finance systems analysts.



Project management experience, preferred.

Ability to communicate across multiple levels of the organization in a variety of mediums.

Process oriented and ability to identify the need for new processes or process improvements.

Comfortable working as a team and independently. Has an ability to work cross-functionally.

Provides excellent customer service, Customer focused and detail oriented.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

College, university, or equivalent degree in accounting, finance, information systems or related subject required. Strong MS Office skills, in particular Excel or Access, is preferred.


Minimum 3 years relevant work experience required.

Experience with Oracle Business Intelligence, Oracle Financials/ERP, and/or Hyperion applications or similar reporting platforms is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
