Purchasing Systems Operations manager
Manages, develops, and implements programs composed of multiple cross functional projects. Partners with key business stakeholders to ensure a successful project completion.
Leads multiple cross-functional projects that may comprise a program from inception to completion; facilitates project planning sessions with internal stakeholders to determine the scope and objectives of each project; works with business stakeholders to establish project performance goals; designs project plan, develops timeline, identifies project milestones, and tracks performance against performance goals and timeline.
In very large programs this role could include the responsibility to work with business and functional leaders to define tangible and measurable business outcomes and to lead the program achieving those business outcomes.
Identifies, tracks, and works with others to resolve project issues.
Monitors and communicates project status to project team.
Plans and monitors project budget, conducts research and analysis; provides input into the design and development of project plans and timelines.
Manages project risk; uses quality tools to identify areas of risk; identifies alternatives or solutions; applies motivational techniques to broad-based organization change issues.
Leverages experience of cross-functional resources and resources external to the project team; documents and shares team learnings with other teams; draws on other project team experiences to enhance the success of the project.
Ensures that project documentation is complete; monitors measures and communicates with Project Sponsor and other stakeholders on status of specific projects and assignments.
Identifies and assigns appropriate resources to accomplish various project tasks; guides and coaches team members through various stages of the project; provides developmental feedback to team members; coaches other Project Managers in managing teams.
We are looking for a talented Purchasing Systems Operations Manager to join our team specializing in Purchasing for our Corporate/CBS Segment to your remote home office located within the USA.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
The person in this position will work on the functional side of the system, but who’s work will be comprised of working with both the IT and business of the system
This position will be the key stakeholder while working with the partners in both the IT and Indirect Purchasing of the business
Will help to provide support and leadership to changes in the management to the Indirect Purchasing system
Will have a key hand in the functional testing of Indirect Purchasing system
Lead cross functional communications between team to oversee interaction of financial system with the Indirect Purchasing system
Will oversee and work to the guide improvements and efficiency of the Indirect Purchasing system
Schedule Management - Manages the project schedule using the recommended project management tools and processes to drive completion within the agreed timeline.
Scope Management - Manages a list of project deliverables (scope) using the recommended project management tools and processes to ensure that the project includes all the work required and only the work required to complete the project successfully.
Project Resource Management - Develops resource (expense and headcount) plans using recommended project management tools and processes to manage resources effectively.
Project Issue and Risk Management - Manages the process to identify, assess and prioritize issues and risks using recommended tools and processes to minimize, monitor, and control the probability and/or impact of negative events or to maximize the realization of positive events.
Business insight - Applying knowledge of business and the marketplace to advance the organization’s goals.
Customer focus - Building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions.
Financial acumen - Interpreting and applying understanding of key financial indicators to make better business decisions.

Education, Licenses, Certifications
College, university, or equivalent degree required.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Significant level of relevant work experience, including team leadership experience, required.
Lead to provide global support for Source To Pay application operation.
Be customer focused to deliver customer-centric solutions/ resolution with strong communication skills.
Lead change management - Be the change request leader for the Indirect Purchasing Source to Pay application (Ariba Cloud), who manages all changes from the change board reviewing with clear business justification to production cycle after requirement collection, design / build, and full testing.
Lead the business and functional requirement collection for complex change requests or projects.
Coordinate, prioritize, and manage the execution of the complex changes and assigned projects by working with cross functional teams
Manage Indirect Purchasing system configuration, change control, documentation and maintenance activities ensuring compliance with company standards across regions.
Supervise System Integration Function Testing & User Acceptance Testing team for purchasing system functional testing by working with IT, global process owners, and requesting function teams.
Be proactive and ensures resolution of complex user questions and system issues.
Work to eliminate system and process inefficiencies and roadblocks to improve process and system
Explore new capabilities, new technologies related to align with business goal with a focus on continuous improvement
Knowledge & experience in Ariba Cloud purchasing suite system is preferred!
Working location is flexible in US
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
University or College degree in Information Technology or related field is highly desirable
A minimum of 5 years working in a similar or related position is required
Indirect purchasing experience, and working with indirect purchasing software is highly desirable
Strong understanding of IT systems is desirable, programming background is not necessary
