This is an exciting opportunity for Project Manager - Purchasing #IN738 in Columbus, Indiana
Your impact will happen in these and other ways:
Apply specialized engine manufacturing knowledge to manage, develop, and implement programs on cross-functional projects.
Lead projects from inception to completion, facilitate project planning with internal stakeholders to determine scope and objective, and work with business stakeholders to establish performance goals.
Utilize project-specific knowledge to drive timely resolution and approval of changes to the project plan.
Utilize scope management skills to solicit and organize Voice of the Customer requirements and track the status of project deliverables.
Utilize knowledge of Schedule Management on complex schedules integrating multiple sub-projects and scheduling tools.
Utilize engineering components and resource plan management knowledge to develop cross-functional and cross-organizational resource plans for portfolios, programs and projects.
Apply product risk knowledge including Integrated Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (iDFMEA) to identify areas of risk, alternatives and solutions with stakeholder management.
Utilize industry knowledge to plan and monitor project budget, conduct research and analysis, provide input into the design and development of project plans and timelines.
Maintain project notes, databases, and other records and monitor and measure to communicate with Project Sponsor and other stakeholders on project status.
Manage connections between multiple levels of scope detail in Tech Profiles or equivalent documents and measure effectiveness of execution through defined metrics and disciplined monitoring.
Ensure Critical Parameter Management using a capability grown index to measure effectiveness of execution through defined metrics and disciplined monitoring Utilize Six Sigma tools including Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) during new product development to align to purchasing goals.
Skills and Experience Required:
Voice of the Customer
Resource plan management
Integrated Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (iDFMEA)
Six Sigma tools including Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) and Critical Parameter Management; Manage execution
Required Education, Licenses or Certifications
Positions require a Master’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or related field and 2 years of experience as a Mechanical, Customer, Manufacturing, Product, or Project Engineer, or related position.
Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or related field and 5 years of experience as a Mechanical, Customer, Manufacturing, Product, or Project Engineer, or related position.JOB SITE: Columbus, Indiana
WORK HOURS: 40 hours/week - 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Compensation and Benefits
Base hourly rate commensurate with experience plus bonus.
