We are looking for a talented Product Reliability Engineer to join our team specializing in Engineering Function for our Corporate Organization in Columbus, IN.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Demonstrate ability to communicate complex reliability data, assumptions, and conclusions in a concise manner

  • Demonstrate project management experience and capabilities to drive clear issue/risk mitigation and resolution action plans

  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience with the iDFMEA process to identify functional product quality risks that can then be mitigated by appropriate design or detection actions

  • Ability to integrate key aspects of Cummins Reliability Standard Work (RSW) into overall product knowledge to help the organization prioritize key product improvement activities

  • Demonstrated ability to drive an appropriate level of constructive, cross-functional conflict and collaboration into VPI programs to assure that key product quality risks and issues are identified and addressed to prevent those issues from reaching our customers.

Qualifications

​​​​​​To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines is required. Post-graduate (Master's) degree relevant to this discipline area may be required for select roles.This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

  • Prior entry level engineering equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area is required. Knowledge of MS Office tools is preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to form strong partnerships across the engineering, supply chain quality, finance, and VPI program leadership functions to:

  • Establish key program reliability targets based on the scope, schedule, and resources available

  • Drive collaboration to identify and address gaps between program scope and key reliability targets

  • Identify and mitigate/resolve risks and issues to allow us to meet our program targets

  • Be a leader in the organization with regards to Product Problem Solving (7-Step) excellence to drive CES towards robust problem solving and solution validation/implementation

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
