New Power Connectivity Systems Engineer
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Investigate electronic application and systems problems, understands causal mechanisms, recommends appropriate action, owns problem resolution and documents results.
Apply and improve electronic application and systems development processes and tools. Processes include system specification, modelling and simulation, calibration, Design Verification Plan and Report (DVP&R), and troubleshooting. Tools include Simulink, calibration tools, and PTC Integrity.
Obtain input and negotiates with product and software development teams and delivers control system designs, verified and calibrated software features and builds to product teams.
Make decisions in the areas of electronic systems design, requirements, calibration, and test that impact the quality and performance of calibrated subsystems and feature classes of electronic subsystems.
Be responsible for review of less-experienced developers/testers’ work to ensure robust, reusable, and efficient design.
Provide independent leadership of smaller business impact projects or ownership of complex components, products, systems or services with greater elements of ambiguity over the senior or lead engineer level and with full accountability to the project team.
Deliver independent execution of established and emerging work processes and systems, while still developing technology or product knowledge.
Lead the development and improvement of work processes and systems across a functional discipline area within a business unit site.
Coordinate and direct work amongst technicians and temporary student employees, assist in the transfer of knowledge to lesser experienced engineers through either indirect (scope of influence) or direct management of a small, local group of engineers.
Provide support and guidance to influence technical direction within a project team and continue to develop proficiency in the competency areas critical to success in the role.
Operate as a recognized specialist in a discipline or product area within the immediate team.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
BS in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science, Data Analytics or similar experience
3-5 years of experience with embedded controls or digital / connected technologies & products
Prior Senior or Lead Engineer equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area is required with a demonstrated track record of technical problem solving and quality decision making. Knowledge of MS Office tools is preferred
Be a self-motivated, energetic Systems Engineer with experience leading complex projects involving cross-functional teams.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
