Mechanical Battery Integration Technical Specialist

Description

We are looking for a talented Mechanical Battery Integration - Technical Specialist to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Corporate Business Unit in Columbus, IN / your remote home office.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Obtains and uses input and/or requirements from various internal and external stakeholders to deliver information and recommendations that lead to quality battery product and integration decisions.

  • Utilizes CAD software to ensure most efficient battery orientation within a space claim, while keeping in mind variables of energy, thermal management, service, and more.

  • Applies thermodynamic models and software tools to understand and communicate thermal impacts of product use within various environments.

  • Applies academic knowledge and existing experience to take action and make decisions that progress projects forward without sacrificing project quality expectations. Examples of this work includes modeling, analysis, creative thinking, and more that are necessary to make quality progress.

  • Applies processes such as ESW (Engineering Standard Works), iDFMEA, design review checklist and other specialized tools required to enable high quality decision making, and work outcomes.

  • Provides support and guidance to influence technical direction within a project team and continues to develop proficiency in the competency areas critical to success in the role.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar field, MS is preferred.

  • 3 years of related professional experience in battery design and application is required.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
