ME & Maintenance Leader/VPI Project Leader

Description

Manages the planning, designing, purchasing, and implementation of machining processes, equipment, and operating staff in an industrial plant.

Manages Machining Engineers and related departmental activities; establishes performance standards; formulates staff development plans; coaches and motivates engineering staff; provides guidance and direction on problems and issues; delegates works assignments considering employee skills and development needs.

Manages significant change initiatives related to process and equipment changes; coaches and trains line employees on new equipment.

Identifies opportunities to support continuous improvement initiatives; drives change in the department.

Provides technical consultation and advice to staff and project teams.

Works to improve equipment availability and capability by utilizing continuous improvement tools and working cross functionally.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

A STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related bachelor degree or higher, required.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

Significant level of relevant work experience, including supervisory and leadership experience, required.

  • Lead & Develop the team and ensure succession planning is in place for critical roles

  • Lead critical New Product Introductions for EPA 2024/2027 changes and ensure safe launch

  • Strategic thinker for ensuring maximum asset utilization within EBU network

  • Lead machine obsolescence and refurbishment plan to ensure process longevity

  • Implement maintenance tracking systems and ensure proper manpower utilization

  • Lead down time reduction projects for the plant to improve OEE
