This position is for developing, implementing, and troubleshooting automated testing procedures for measurement equipment in the LDTC Emissions Labs. This will involve commission hardware, develop the script, and provide training for related engine testing instrumentation. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failure. Analyze engine emissions data and implement automated program to improve equipment measurement data quality. Work together with team members to follow best practices and document testing results. Operate AVL PUMA2 test automation system to integrate and commission emissions equipment.

Operates, calibrates, installs, programs, repairs, designs, and fabricates instrumentation and data acquisition systems.

Designs, develops, and documents new data acquisition systems; serves as expert in hardware and software systems; coordinates and sets up tests;

troubleshoots problems.

Schedules and prioritizes projects in order to produce optimal results; schedules work by interfacing with customers both internal and external as well as support

groups within the company.

Specifies, purchases, and maintains equipment; fabricates prototypes; designs and executes field tests.

Uses a number of general tools including but not limited to digital multimeter, soldering iron, function generator, and frequency generator.

Reads and interprets electrical wiring diagrams.

Communicates (oral and written) technical information to a diverse customer base.

Participates in the maintenance of quality procedures.

Develops and conducts training programs; provides counseling, mentoring, and coaching.

Serves as company representatives in various capacities to customers, suppliers, and outside agencies.

Interacts effectively with employees throughout the company.

Demonstrates adaptability and responsiveness to changing work needs and willingness to undertake new tasks as they become evident; initiates, develops,

Test Setup and Configuration - Interprets test plan to determine optimal location and orientation within a test space in accordance with local safety and environmental requirements and fabricates required system with appropriate materials.

Test Article Build - Assembles test articles according to test requirements, including all necessary installation or accommodations for instrumentation, in a manner that allows the test articles to successfully undergo product functional test.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

High school diploma, GED or equivalent required with Department of Labor Certification OR

Associates degree from an accredited program in a related field and at least two years of relevant experience OR

Bachelors degree in a related field.

Must pass all related testing.
