This is an exciting opportunity for EngineeringIT Engineer – Technical Specialists #IN695 i n Columbus,Indiana.
Your impact will happen in these and other ways:
Lead in the analysis of business and user needs,documentation of requirements, and translation into proper requirementspecifications.
Work with IT Support organizations to ensureapplication technical quality, reliability, maintainability, performance andcost effectiveness.
Apply 7 Step Problem Solving process to fix variousissues in software.
Contribute to the solution of complex technicalprofiles, provide resources, remove barriers, and ensure application of commonapproaches.
Quantify company objectives including calculatingtotal cost of resources and summarizing costs to create a budget whileidentifying and managing product risk.
Utilize extensive knowledge of Database Managementto monitor performance of the database, and make decisions on infrastructuredesign, disaster recovery and replication.
Lead the application architecture based on profilingtools output and create technology roadmaps for the application.
Identify development needs of the group and lead ITperformance management processes.
Work with business owners to develop and implementtransition plans to common software and/or new versions.
Collaborate with engineering and software developersto select appropriate design solutions and ensure the compatibility of systemcomponents.
Lead the analysis of current and emergingtechnologies to consider factors such as cost, portability, compatibility, andusability.
Provide extensive technical guidance and support forthe development and troubleshooting of systems.
Investigate system component suitability forspecific purposes and make recommendations regarding component use.
Provide technical expertise in developing mobileapplications that communicate using J1939 and UDS protocol.

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications
Positions require a Master’s degree in Computer Scienceor Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical or Electronic Engineering,or related field and three years of experience as a Computer, Electronic,Electrical, or Software Engineer, or related position.
Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Scienceor Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or related field and five years of experience as a Computer, Electronic,Electrical, or Software Engineer, or related position. WORK HOURS: 40 hours/week [8:00 am to 5:00 pm]

Base hourly rate commensurate with experience plus bonus.
