This is an exciting opportunity in Clovis, NM for aPaint Upfit Associate. Cummins North America is where you can work on industry leading engine and power generation technology while working in some of the most beautiful scenery in the world.

Responsibilities:

Masks and de-masks engines during the painting process and performs preventative maintenance to keep the painting equipment running properly.

Performs upfits and paints engines.

Touches up paint on engine using a spray gun.

Pressure washes engines received after test.

Schedules and monitors paint and wash tank levels; expedites and manages paint and wash tank chemicals.

Inspects the engine and checks for water intrusion after painting.

Installs engines on rail or shipping skid.

Assists in performing or scheduling preventative maintenance.

Maintains equipment which includes but not limited to painting guns and hoses, changing filters in paint room, etc.

Uses the resource usage time tracking system for different engine build orders in Oracle.

Maintains housekeeping and safety in work areas.

Assists in training department personnel.

Communicates within the assigned team and with all support teams.

Understands and applies appropriate company and department rules and guidelines to work.

Knows and complies with departmental, site, and company safety policies and procedures.

Participates in improvement projects.

Remains flexible and performs other miscellaneous duties, as required, to get the job done.

Completes work with minimal supervision.

Performs cross-functional work within the department.

Qualifications

Skills and Experience Required:

1 year of relevant experience preferred.

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Base hourly rate commensurate with experience.
