Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Description

Performs day to day warehouse functions to include inventory receiving and stocking, accurate order pulling, inventory reporting and reconciliation and shipping/receiving functions.

  • Responsible for receiving, stocking, picking and shipping as needed.

  • Assist with packing and unpacking of parts.

  • Drive company vehicle to pick-up and deliver parts as needed.

  • Unload company truck as needed or assigned.

  • Operate forklift.

  • Complete supplied training programs as required.

  • Effectively communicate one-on-one and in small groups with employees, customers, managers, vendors and the public.

  • Must keep work area clean, safe and organized.

  • Assist with inventory counts and audits.

  • Respond quickly to supervisor and technicians’ parts requests.

  • Research and locate other products that complement Cummins parts.

  • Sell our products and services; and up sell when possible.

  • Professional handling of phone calls.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Customer focused.

  • Multi-task and follow tasks through completion.

  • Function effectively, and efficiently, without constant supervision.

  • Knowledge of purchasing, ordering and receiving and stocking.

  • Strong interpersonal and customer relations skills.

  • Deliver awesome customer service on a consistent basis.

  • Accurately manage part numbers and other details.

  • Experience in inventory management.

  • Experience with multiple lines of shipping and receiving.

  • Two to four years of warehousing experience.

  • Basic familiarity with automotive parts.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
