This is an exciting opportunity in Broomfield, Colorado for a Senior Marketing Communications Specialist. Cummins USA is where you can work on industry leading projects.

  • Provide and manage marketing content to website/social as needed.

  • Measure, track and communicate intake, scope, Statement of Work for allMarketing Communications projects and promotions.

  • Proficient with communication skills and experience in writing smartobjectives, outlines, scope documents, Statement of Work and internalcommunications.

  • Need to manage and communicate all aspects of Marketing Communications projects to completion with respect to graphic design, trade shows, web/digitalMarketing Communications, data analytics and surveys and metrics.

  • Proficient in digital/social Marketing Communications tools andtechniques with executable experience.

  • Comfortable with regular communication with all levels of Stakeholders andcustomers.

  • High aptitude for customer service and customer satisfaction.

  • Ability to work/collaborate in high energy atmosphere with crossfunctional and remote teams.

  • Motivated to strive in fast paced, agile andever-changing environment.

  • Responsible for managingspecific marketing materials, marketing programs or events that have beenidentified in a marketing plan.

  • Provides support in theexecution of Marketing Communications strategies; drafts marketing plans andmaterial.

  • Monitors and tracks marketingcommunications projects and events as they relate to assigned area.

  • Coordinates the publication ofinternal and external product sales literature, image advertising, andcollateral materials.

  • Serves as a resource onprojects and work assignments.

  • Employs basic knowledge ofeffective marketing and general business understanding.

  • Keeps business and productteams apprised of the status of Marketing Communications materials.

  • Provides costing, budget,research, and analytical support to marketing management.

  • Monitors supplier performance and provides oversight andmanagement of day to day requirements.

  • Manages reporting and analysisof Key Performance Indicators.



Develop Communication Plans - Knowledge of current communication methods. Provides input to and implements the communication plan for a specific product, market, process, etc. Knows the audience and the tools used to reach the audience. Able to tell others about the communication plan.

Message Creation - Uses a message triangle or appropriate materials when creating communication or training materials.

Create Marketing Collateral Materials - Knows the process to create marketing collateral pieces and able to lead the process using the approved tool. Approves copy and layouts for production. Coordinates with the printer and understands the differences in types of paper, benefits versus costs of number of colors, and types of finishes on collateral materials. Manages the distribution and/or fulfillment processes.

Understands common marcom metrics (Ad impressions, Trade show measures, media impressions, surveys, click-through, conversion, time spent on page, bounce-back, etc) and interprets analytics data to improve performance.

Digital Marketing Communications Strategy/Management:

Digital Publishing - Understands and can display proficiency using common digital publishing concepts and platforms (content management systems, websites, social media, digital signage, mobile apps, etc.)

Digital Campaign Planning - Provides input and has the ability to guide suppliers on campaign planning activities.

Digital Communications Design and Development - Knows the processes to create digital collateral and able to lead the process using the approved tools. Understands the basic concepts of content management, user centered design and A/B version testing

Education, Licenses,Certifications

College, university, or equivalent degree in marketing, communications or a related subject required.


3 – 5 years relevant work experience required.

Preferred experience and background in similar Industries and/or markets.

Strong project manager skills a must.

Manage preferred vendors as it relates to individual Marketing Communications projects, events and all Marketing Communications activities.

Experience in planning digital marketing campaigns, including web, SEO/SEM, email, social media and display advertising.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
