The Senior Accountant will be responsible to ensure the consolidated financial reporting and accounts are prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in the US and are prepared on a timely basis ensuring a high level of completeness and accuracy. The Senior Accountant has safety, customer satisfaction, and business responsibilities within corporate office operations.



  • Know and follow all Company and customer safety rules, including maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work area, and fully participate in Company accident prevention and safety improvement activities.

CUSTOMER SATISFACTION (Internal and External)

  • Respond to all customer requests courteously and professionally, in a timely and responsive manner.

  • Maintain a clean, professional personal appearance at all times, meeting all Company standards for professional appearance.

  • Team player with skills necessary to build strong relationships with personnel within the Credit Department and internal and external customers is essential.


  • Responsible for most complex activities associated with general ledger, financial/operating reports, and/or budget.

  • Performs complex duties related to preparation and analysis of financial information to record transactions, prepare financial reports, and review and verify accuracy.

  • Compiles, consolidates, and conducts complex analysis of accounting and financial information.

  • Prepares balance sheet and profit and loss statements, consolidated financial statements, and other accounting schedules and reports.

  • Conducts research and analysis on complex issues, and prepares strategic recommendations to management based on analysis.

  • Identifies control weaknesses, communications to management, and operates in a lead capacity in making remedial changes to tighten and enhance controls and mitigate risk.

  • Makes appropriate journal entries to general ledger.

  • Leads monthly and annual reconciliations and close activities for assigned accounts.

Coaches less experienced Accountants.


  • Maintain company and product confidentiality.

  • Attend and participate in all meetings, trainings, and activities as required.

  • Stay apprised of new techniques relevant to the work being performed; achieve and maintain technical competency.

  • Adhere to all Company policies and departmental procedures and rules.

  • All other duties as required.



  • Collaborates with other groups to support overall department goals and objectives

  • Ensures transactions and reconciliations are documented, and supported in accordance with company policy and controls

  • Perform timely monthly General Ledger close in conjunction with CSSNA Rocky Mountain Region & CMI corporate deadlines and controls

  • Team player with a demonstrated ability to work independently

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines

  • Strong Understanding of US General Accepted Accounting Principles

  • Strong Excel skills


  • Intermediate level of relevant professional work experience in the field of study required


  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required. Progress toward Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Chartered Accountant or similar certification preferred.

Candidate must meet all eligibility requirements to drive a Company vehicle, including but not limited to:

  • Must have a current, valid driver's license issued by the state in which they reside.

  • Must have current motor vehicle liability insurance.

  • No convictions for any driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs charges (DUI) within prior 5 years.

  • No greater than three (3) moving violations within prior 12 month period.

  • No greater than 2 avoidable accidents on MVR within prior 3 years.

  • Candidate must be able to pass pre-employment drug testing and meet all physical requirements for the position.

  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds occasionally.

Compensation: Base salary commensurate with experience.
