Electrical Design Engineer
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Creating new designs of electrical harnesses and controllers for Oil and Gas, automotive, and industrial engine applications, as well as power generators for Mobil Off Highway applications.
Travel to local and regional customer locations for electrical engineering meetings and create new electrical designs based on feedback from those meetings.
Providing technical information to Industrial and Power Generation account managers, manufacturing and customers on electrical requirements and recommendations for new and existing engine applications.
Creating customized point to point interconnect drawings using Creo-Schematics or Creo-Diagram CAD software for multiple Power Generation applications.
Test and validate ECM’s new and existing calibrations for various engine platform.
Providing onsite electrical support to application engineers during IQA testing and validations of new engine packages.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Previous experience in designing wiring harnesses and engine controllers.
Familiarity with switchgears and the NEC is a plus.
Knowledgeable of SAE J1939 systems, Modbus, and LON Net Work.
Familiarity with Diesel, Natural gas, and Dual fuel engines.
Superior electrical and mechanical aptitude.
Must be proficient with Computer-aided drafting (CAD) software like Creo-Schematics, Creo Parametric, Creo-Diagram, and Pro-Cabling.
Must be willing to travel up to 25%.
Education, Licenses, Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related technical field.
