Description

Key Responsibilities:

Perform all duties adhering to Cummins Safety Policies and Procedures

Provide excellent internal and external customer support encompassing “Customer Support Excellence” philosophy and standards

Actively practice the Cummins Business Code of Conduct including setting an example of ethical behavior

Supply parts to In-Shop and Field Service Technicians

Order, receive, and store parts

Fill requisitions, work orders, and requests for materials, tools, and other stock items- distribute items to technicians

Prepare parts returns and perform credits for dealers

Enter records, add new parts, and generate and submit stock orders

Manage parts inventory; Maintain necessary records in the parts department

Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets and shelves and/or convey order to packing station/shipping area

Package, ship, and receive parts as needed

Provide parts counter customer support

Provide phone support

Other duties as assigned

Critical Experience, Knowledge, Skills, andAbilities by Dimension:

Functional/Technical:

Minimum of two years of engine and/or power generation parts experience preferred

Must have valid Driver’s license with good driving record

Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment

Strong computer and keyboard skills to complete work (i.e. parts look up, invoicing, etc.)

Demonstrated organizational and time management skills

Willingness to learn from co-workers and train new team members as necessary

Quality/Improvement

Able to contribute to system improvement process

Commitment to task and results oriented

Strong commitment to safety

Teamwork

Excellent communication skills (active listening, writing, speaking & telephone skills)

Ability to work through conflict and use effective problem solving techniques

Qualifications

Physical Requirements:

Requires ability to safely lift up to 25 pounds often, up to 75 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds on occasion using proper lifting tools/techniques

Tasks will require bending, stretching, standing, twisting, and climbing up and down equipment throughout the work shift

Position requires wearing appropriate PPE at all times in work areas
