This is an exciting opportunity in Stoughton, Wisconsin for a Mechanical Engineer. Cummins USA is where you can work on industry leading engineering projects.

Skills and Experience Required:
Generates novel design concepts both individually and within small teams.
Experience sharing newly developed designs and ideas with a cross functional group for feedback using informal and standard design reviews.
Direct experience with CES PDM system and PDMLink is desired.Defines and orders CFD and FEA studies.
Generates prototype prints and orders for exploratory technologies.Interprets analysis/test results to identify trends and drive design changes.
Understands design challenges for DEF mixers and specific internal mixing components.
Experience with a wide range of manufacturing processes including machining desired.
5i Design Review - 5i technology development reviews are a series of in-depth sessions that bring a disciplined process to technology development. 5i experience is preferred, or direct experience in Advanced Design group.
Finite Element Analysis - A well rounded understanding of inputs and outputs of a Finite Element Analysis (FEA). Able to review a structural simulation and interpret the results and use them to make informed engineering decisions. Previous experience using ANSYS is preferred.
Computational Fluid Dynamic Analysis - An intermediate understanding of the basic principles defining Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). A strong background in fluid dynamics allowing insightful CFD requests and detailed comprehension of results. Previous experience using Fluent or ANSYS CFX is preferred.
Doser Product - Experience with reductantant doser construction and integration into the after treatment system. Including an understanding of the inner details and theory for doser components.
Required Education, Licenses or Certifications
- Bachelor of Science (or equivalent degree) in Engineering required
Compensation and Benefits
Base hourly rate commensurate with experience . Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
