Cummins Inc. Warehouse Specialist in St Louis, Missouri
The Parts Delivery Driver has safety, customer satisfaction, and business responsibilities within branch operations. The person in this role is responsible for pulling, staging and delivering parts to customers on a daily basis. Inter-State / Intra-State Driving required up to 85% of the time. You must also possess a strong work ethic, the ability to follow instructions and adapt to change. You must also must maintain a positive attitude, team confidentiality and work as a team member. You will back up team members as needed. You will also be required to work overtime as needed, and participate in annual physical inventory activities
Perform housekeeping and CSE duties.
Respond to all customer requests courteously and professionally, in a timely and responsive manner.
Maintain a clean, professional personal appearance at all times, meeting all Company standards for professional appearance.
Pull parts for customer orders, stage in will-call or prepare for shipping.
Deliver parts to customer sites.
Pick up parts for service.
This role is responsible for picking up items from vendors.
Invoice orders as required, maintain paperwork in an orderly fashion
Interact in a professional manner with customers, vendors and co-workers at all levels of business
Ability to make decisions in a professional business manner
Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse at all times
Load and unload trucks, count and mark materials as directed
Use forklifts, and other handling equipment to transport loads and materials
Assist in annual inventory, and weekly or daily cycle counts
Responsible for bin location accuracy
Back up Materials Handlers when needed.
Attend all safety, employee and other mandatory meetings
Follow company policies, guidelines and participate in company programs
Daily JSA assessments and submission of forms on a daily basis
Participate in yearly physical inventory process and functions
Candidate must meet all eligibility requirements to drive a Company vehicle, including but not limited to:
Must have a current, valid driver's license issued by the state in which they reside.
Must abide by all local, state and federal rules and regulations.
Must have the physical ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Protective Glasses, Protective Gloves, and Protective Footwear as required.
Ability to do simple math, write legibly, read and understand instructions, communicate clearly
Ability to organize and prioritize time and work
